The Public Opinion has coverage: As many as 50 South Dakota law students will be able to bypass the bar exam over the next five years under a set of rules for alternative licensure recently approved by the state Supreme Court. The program will be open to up to 10 USD law students a year over a period of five years.

During my first week in Accra, I had the opportunity to join Ghanaian law students from GIMPA Law School, one of the most prestigious university law faculties in Ghana, for a dinner. As we enjoyed jollof rice and stew, we compared notes on our respective law school experiences.

In this week that NY law grads were originally scheduled to be taking the bar exam, the New York State Court of Appeals (the highest court in the state) has announced a revision of its rules to temporarily authorize qualifying graduates of ABA-accredited law schools to practice law in New York under supervision pending their admission to the bar.
