The Ohio Supreme Court had rejected what should be Oberlin College’s final appeal of a verdict in favor of Gibson’s Bakery. The jury in June 2019 awarded the Gibsons $44 million in compensatory and punitive damages. million payment in attorney fees. A judge later reduced the award to $25 million.
