The Supreme Court of California confirmed the 2025 bar exam will be the first to implement the new exam modifications on Tuesday. The exam is currently only offered in person and will be administered remotely or in person starting in February 2025.

As noted by Reuters , the national Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) mean scaled score is back to an all-time low. This isnt what we like to see when it comes to the bar. Higher MBE scores from recent administrations of the exam gave those in legal academia some hope that the future would be brighter for test-takers.

The Public Opinion has coverage: As many as 50 South Dakota law students will be able to bypass the bar exam over the next five years under a set of rules for alternative licensure recently approved by the state Supreme Court. The program will be open to up to 10 USD law students a year over a period of five years.

To assess the legal and Islamic knowledge of attorneys who are interested in taking the test and obtaining a new license, a new testing mechanism was established. Answer : Yes, I did.

Well, it’s happened again: Generative AI has passed a critical test used to measure candidate’s fitness to be licensed as a lawyer. Back in March, OpenAI’s GPT-4 took the bar exam and passed with flying colors , scoring around the top 10% of test takers. Claude 2 answered 67% correctly.
