These are just some of the dates and deadlines in September and early October that you should mark on your calendar. As we enter the last quarter of the year, the broadcasters’ October calendar is full of important regulatory dates and deadlines. Put these dates and deadlines on your calendar and check with your station’s advisors for other dates applicable to your operations. . .
And come the first of December, those regular filing deadlines return to the calendar. Always review these dates with your legal and technical advisors, and note other dates not listed here that may be relevant to your operations. November brings comment deadlines in at least two FCC proceedings relevant to broadcasters.
Stations in Florida and PuertoRico , who file on October 1, should be prepared to start their pre-filing announcements on August 1. As always, check with your own counsel or legal adviser to make sure that we have not omitted any important dates that apply to your station this month.
