On March 2, a jury in the Western District of Texas awarded VLSI $2.18 The court allowed the public to listen to pubic portions of the trial by telephone. A ruling in Intel’s favor may have made future royalties unavailable. As it happened the court ruled in VLSI’s favor on this point.
