There has been much discussion of a classified document being found in his personal library in Wilmington, but there is a huge library of Biden documents sitting in the University of Delaware. Biden has yet to come up with a plausible reason why he is using the University of Delaware to prevent review of the documents.

In 1977, as senator from Delaware, Biden torpedoed President Jimmy Carter’s nominee for CIA director over his alleged mishandling of classified documents. He is fast becoming the Claude Rains of presidents in feigning shock that there is handling of classified material in this establishment. Biden’s worst critic, however, may be Biden.

There is no reason why he cannot answer such legal questions without getting into the evidence produced in Delaware. In a hearing yesterday, Garland again refused to address the issue, even discussing what it would take to warrant the appointment of a special counsel.

The search, however, raises the question of a massive amount of Biden material held at the University of Delaware. The search of the president’s small Delaware beach house is also telling in that it sits roughly 80 miles from a massive trove of Biden documents that neither counsel nor the FBI has shown much interest in.

Hunter and his legal team were counting on the Court striking down the federal gun law at issue in the case of United States v. Hunter was just convicted by a unanimous jury in Delaware for false statements on a gun form and possession of a firearm as a drug addict. That brings us back to Hunter. They were wrong.
