Russia Supreme Court labels LGBTQ+ movement ‘extremist,’ drawing international condemnation

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk condemned on Thursday the Russian Supreme Court’s decision to outlaw the LGBTQ+ movement in the country and label proponents of the movement “extremists” under new legislation. Federal judge temporarily blocks Montana TikTok ban

A federal judge ruled on Thursday to temporarily block Montana’s ban on TikTok from coming into effect in the state. In issuing the preliminary injunction , US District Judge Donald Molloy found that Senate Bill 419 violates the US Constitution “in more ways than one” after determining that the ban “oversteps state power and infringes on the Constitutional rights of users and businesses.

Hong Kong’s District Court sentenced a Hong Kong woman, Lee Yan-yan, to five and a half years in prison on Wednesday, according to Hong Kong Free Press.
