Afghanistan referred to ICC for investigation into women’s rights abuses

Russian court orders arrest of French journalist for crossing Kursk border illegally

Kazakhstan urged to ensure fair process for journalist and revise its speech offenses laws

Human Rights Watch (HRW) urged Kazakhstan’s authorities on Thursday to guarantee a fair appeal for an investigative journalist sentenced to prison for spreading false information. The rights group also called on the country to revise its laws concerning speech offenses to align them with international standards for freedom of expression. Canada top court orders Quebec to increase funding for First Nation police

The Supreme Court of Canada ruled 8-1 on Wednesday that the Quebec government acted dishonorably by refusing to negotiate funding terms for the First Nations police force in the Mashteuiatsh community.
