Yesterday, I reported here on a lawsuit filed March 20 in U.S. District Court in Manhattan by a legal tech executive who alleges her former company owes her over $1 million in stock and that her former boss sexually harassed her. As it turns out, just a week before she filed her lawsuit, her former company had sued her in federal court in Texas, seeking a declaratory judgment that it had terminated her for cause, and that, as a result, her stock option was also terminated.

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster signed a bill Thursday permitting concealed and open carry for firearms throughout the state. The so-called “constitutional carry” bill allows individuals who are 18 and above and legally able to own a firearm to carry that firearm either openly or concealed. The bill does not require any registration or training for a permit to do so.

The European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) published Saturday a new legal assessment of the Russian attack on the Mariupol Theater in Ukraine, claiming that the attack was a “war crime” and deliberately done by the Russian Air Force to target Ukrainian civilians who sought refuge in the theater. Just a few weeks ago, I wrote about two more cases of AI-hallucinated citations in court filings leading to sanctions , and now comes the case of a Florida lawyer suspended from practice after filing cases that were “completely fabricated.” On March 8, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida suspended attorney Thomas Grant Neusom from practicing in that court for one year, after which he will be eligible to apply for reinstatement.

Share The Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that a lawsuit filed by an Oregon man who was placed on the No Fly List can go forward even after the government has removed him from the list and pledged not to return him to it “based on the currently available information.” In a unanimous decision authored by Justice Neil Gorsuch , the justices rejected the government’s argument that the case is moot – that is, no longer a live controversy.
