Google has announced the release of eight new top-level domains that include one specifically designed for lawyers and law firms, “ esq,” based on the abbreviation of esquire that lawyers use to show they are admitted to practice. UK Metropolitan Police (the Met) Friday announced a UK court sentenced senior Nigerian Senator Ike Ekweremadu to over nine years prison for illegal organ harvesting. A UK court convicted Ekweremadu, along with his wife and a doctor involved in the plot, in March. Ekweremadu’s wife, Beatrice Nwanneka Ekeweremadu, and Doctor Obinna Obeta were also sentenced to four and ten years, respectively, for their role in the plot.

South Carolina man Trevor Mullinax filed a complaint against York County, South Carolina, and the York County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday claiming he was shot at “around 50 times” during a wellness check in 2021. The complaint states relatives called in a wellness check on Mullinax as he contemplated suicide. Mullinax had a shotgun in the car with him.
