International coalition endorses special tribunal for crime of aggression against Ukraine

An international coalition of states on Friday formally endorsed the establishment of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine within the Council of Europe. The Tribunal’s establishment will be based on an agreement between Ukraine and the Council of Europe. We stand fully behind the Special Tribunal.

Putin introduces new bill to withdraw Russia from Europe anti-corruption convention

Russian President Vladimir Putin Monday introduced a bill in the Duma, the lower house of Russia’s Parliament, to withdraw from the Criminal Law Convention on Corruption. The Council of Europe revoked Russia’s membership in March 2022. Russia ratified the convention on January 27, 1999.
