We were curious as to the status of online court help to the self-represented litigants as a good 2021 year-end wrapup article for the CTB? We share what we found below. In addition, we just learned of a new NIJ study on the use of Chatbots in the Criminal Justice System to add to our list of online helpers.

It will use a $93,290 grant to support Legal Navigator , which employs artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies to help states guide low-income individuals to the best forms of legal assistance available. The project will also create pathways for new states and partners to utilize Legal Navigator.

So we used a vacuum-sealing machine designed for meat-packing to individually seal every book into a moisture-resistant bag before shipping them all to an underground limestone mine in Kentucky. We had to find space for all this in the library, where students studied, faculty worked and librarians served.
