In recent years, McCormack has become a leading champion of initiatives to enhance access to justice, both within Michigan and nationally. She is on the governing council of the American Bar Association Center for Innovation and is a strategic advisor at the University of Pennsylvania LawSchool’s Future of the Profession Initiative.
Chas is an outspoken advocate of transformation in the legal industry, inspiring increased access to legalservices through technology and new business models. I specifically remember Reinvent Law and the impact it had on the profession and my own view of legalservices.
Today, March 8, 2023, marks 10 years since Daniel Martin Katz , Renee Knake Jefferson and a group of colleagues and students from Michigan State University School of Law hosted ReInvent Law Silicon Valley at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, Calif. Also, “Human + Machine > Human or Machine.”
They enlightened me on how we talk about the access to justice topic, what it is, who is affected, and why this conversation is so important to the rule of law.
