22 US states sue New York climate law for fining fossil fuel companies

West Virginia Attorney General John McCuskey, and 21 other states, sued New York Thursday over a new law requiring fossil fuel companies to contribute seventy-five billion dollars to a fund to pay for damages caused by climate change. The leading plaintiff, West Virginia, is one of the leading producers of gas in the United States.
