I keep reading and hearing about virtualparalegals and virtual assistants as affordable options, but I wonder: Where can I find virtual support which meets the needs of my law practice?”. You probably know at least one other attorney who has used a freelance, temp, or virtualparalegal. Attorney Referrals.
In 2009 I ventured out of my comfort box and formed Digital ParalegalServices, LLC®. I began offering my services to attorneys across the country on a virtual basis from my home in Guthrie, Oklahoma. This year marks a major milestone for Digital ParalegalServices. Has it been hard? Has it been worth it?
Some take it a step further and retain professional services of a lawyer coach. From time to time in my 6-year virtualparalegal practice, I have been privileged to receive referrals from lawyer coaches. The number of qualified and experienced legal service professionals offering their skills on a virtual basis is growing.
Through social media, I was introduced to the term virtualparalegal. Because of the training I had received in traditional brick-and-mortar law firms in Texas and Oklahoma, I felt I had the experience to take the necessary steps to launch Digital ParalegalServices, LLC®. Will you be one of them?
Yet, I’ve also provided virtualparalegalservices and worked in a traditional law office. Recently, I sat down (virtually!) with one of my clients, Megan Zavieh, to discuss what she looks for when she needs to hire a paralegal. I work with a lot of lawyers. Megan Zavieh runs Zavieh Law.
