Families of the victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Connecticut school shooting filed a motion Friday asking a Connecticut judge to order controversial talk radio host Alex Jones to pay hefty punitive damages, on top of the nearly $1 billion in compensatory damages Jones has been ordered to pay by a jury in the defamation case.

Alianza Americas Tuesday filed a class-action lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on behalf of nearly 50 migrants flown from San Antonio, Texas, to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. ” Alianza Americas is also seeking compensatory, emotional distress, and punitive damages for the migrants.

Yves Wantou, a former pharmacist at a Walmart in Texas, filed a lawsuit against Walmart in the Western District of Texas in 2016 claiming racial discrimination and a hostile workplace. Wantou, originally from Cameroon, alleged that Walmart intentionally subjected him to discrimination based on both race and national origin.
